How did you land the job?

My previous experience in the spirits business made me a viable candidate for an available Brand Manager position which was advertised online. I applied and travelled to Montego Bay for an interview with Human Resources. That same week I was invited to meet with our CEO, Tom Tyler, and landed the job that very day!

How long have you been in the job?

I will be celebrating two fantastic years in October, during which I have had an opportunity to manage both wines and spirits.

What’s great about your job?

There is no monotony; dealing with multiple brands keeps it fresh and interesting. You always have an opportunity to do or learn something new! Additionally, managing global brands means having many bosses. My days are spent communicating with leading industry professionals from the United States, France, Mexico, Barbados and many other countries.

Tell us something that we might not know about the Caribbean Producers Jamaica brand.

CPJ is not your average company, we are a one-stop supplier for hotels, restaurateurs, cook shops or any company in the food or beverage industry. As a product and service provider, we supply a wide variety of items that range from chilled and frozen foods, meat, seafood, cheeses, ready-to-drink (RTD), juices, paper products, cleaning and pool supplies, beverage systems and last but surely not least, your favourite premium wines and spirits including but not limited to Bacardi and Mount Gay rums, Finlandia, Grey Goose and Ultimat vodkas, Patron, El Jimador and Herradura tequilas, Dewars and MacCallan whiskies, just to name a few of the brands within my portfolio.

Where can consumers find out more about your brand?

We operate a 360-degree communication platform to ensure that our tagline “where service is just the beginning” is fulfilled. You can reach our customer service department by calling us at  1-888-CALL-CPJ, or visit us online at www.caribbeanproducers.com to see our complete range of products. You can also ‘like’ us on Facebook to keep up with our many promotions and to learn much more about our brands.

Please provide two recipes which use the Caribbean Producers Jamaica brands you oversee.

There are so many great cocktails that are fun and tasty. Some masculine and others more feminine. I like to keep it simple. It’s summer, it’s time to have fun and cool down, the best way to do so is to grab some friends and make a few.

RECIPES

Bacardi Rum Cuba Libre

Fill a tall glass with ice.

Squeeze and drop a fresh lime wedge into each of them.

Pour in one part Bacardi Rum and top with 2 parts chilled Coca-Cola.

Grey Goose Cranberry Sparkler

In a chilled rock glass filled with ice, add Grey Goose La Poire or Grey Goose Original.

Top with club soda, and add a splash of cranberry juice.

Present with cranberries on a cocktail pick or a lime wedge.

Tip:

Add festive color to this light, a delicious cocktail by freezing cranberries and limes into ice cubes.

Such careful touches elevate simple drinks and create a memorable experience for your guests
