Richard Pandohie

Chairman

Richard Pandohie was appointed Chairman of the CPJ Board of Directors on July 9, 2024. Richard serves as the CEO of Seprod Group of Companies and the recently acquired AS Brydens & Sons Holdings Limited (Trinidad & Tobago).  The combined entity makes it one of the largest manufacturing and distribution conglomerates in the Caribbean with an annual revenue of US$750M and over 3,200 employees.

During his nine year tenure, Richard has worked closely with the Chairman and management team to transform Seprod’s qualitative and quantitative performance, delivering strong financial results, positioning Seprod as a leader in the business community and being a strong participant in improving the welfare of communities.

A chemical Engineer by profession,  Richard’s training culminated at the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine). He later earned his Masters at McGill University as a Commonwealth Scholar and has completed the General Management Program at the Wharton School of Business.

Mr. Pandhie brings a wealth of experience having served in several capacities including Past President of the Jamaica Manufacturers & Exporters Association (JMEA). His directorship also included the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Jamaica Bureau of Standards, Co-Chair of the Economic Policy Committee of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) and former Chairman of the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority.  He also served as a Director at Red Stripe Jamaica Ltd., is a former member of the board of Directors  of the Bank of Jamaica and recently joined the board of the Caribbean Infrastructure Group in addition to being appointed the Chairman of Caribbean Producers (Jamaica) Ltd.

He is also passionate about giving back and has served in several philanthropic capacities including President of the Rotary Club of New Kingston. He has been a Justice of Peace for St. Andrew since 2013, is a former Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Technology and was recognized in 2021 by his high school alma mater for outstanding service to the institution. He was also Patron of the 2022 CARIFTA Games held in Kingston, Jamaica.

Richard has been the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award for community service from the Rotary Foundation, RJR Gleaner Special award for Business in 2019 and, his proudest moment yet, was conferred in 2022 with the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander (CD) for contribution to the manufacturing sector.
