Odette Knight

Odette Knight is an accomplished food safety and quality management professional with more than two decades of experience in the development, implementation and oversight of food safety, quality assurance and laboratory management systems. 

She joined Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited (CPJ) in 2015 as Quality Assurance Manager, where she leads the development and implementation of internationally certifiable food safety and quality management systems across the company’s food processing, handling and storage operations. 

Prior to joining CPJ, Odette held several senior technical and management positions at Technological Solutions Limited, including Laboratory and Customer Service Manager. Her career has included managing an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, providing technical support to organizations across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, conducting food safety and quality audits, and delivering training to companies within the manufacturing and agro-processing sectors. 

Odette holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies. She has completed extensive professional training in areas including food safety management systems (HACCP), SQF food safety code, preventive controls for human food, internal auditing, and laboratory accreditation. 

Her contribution to CPJ has also been recognized through the company’s Manager of the Year Award, reflecting her commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and operational excellence.
