The evening’s hosts, wines category manager for CPJ Mike Turner and managing director of Cutting Edge Gourmet Debe-Ann Lange-Chen, gave Thursday Life a warm welcome.
A gathering of close friends and oenophiles had their fill of tantalising treats and exquisite vino at the inaugural staging of the wine-pairing event ‘Un Wine’, in Mandeville recently.
Hosted by managing director of Cutting Edge Gourmet Debe-Ann Lange-Chen — in association with wines category manager for Caribbean Producers Jamaica (CPJ) Mike Turner — at her cosy Mandeville abode, guests thoroughly enjoyed the intimate dining experience.
“This is something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time now,” Lange-Chen told Thursday Life. “Mandeville has never had a wine pairing before, so I figured ‘let’s try it and see how people respond to it’. I called up CPJ and they were immediately on board!” Enter Mike Turner.
The wheels now in motion the award-winning caterer set out to do what she does best — craft the perfect menu — while Turner sourced the perfect complements. The results: a memorable seven-course spread expertly paired with a selection of light, rich, spicy and aromatic blends.
